Buddhi students and staff rang in the Christmas season with a different flavour this year on the 18th of December, 2020. It all happened online, on Zoom and was planned entirely by students. Rhea, our high schooler arranged and host this event, and here is her account of the lovely show.
“Christmas has always been one of the most special times of the year for me. Since I love celebrating Christmas, I decided to help plan the Christmas program for school.
I added as many Christmas carols as I possibly could, since Christmas isn’t half as fun without all its jolly carols, now is it? All the students who performed did an excellent job, despite having only a week to practice.
Since the program was online, we asked the primary and junior middle school students to send in pre-recorded videos in case connectivity issues interrupted anyone while performing. The senior students performed LIVE!
We also had our Early Learners dance to the song ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’, which was absolutely adorable!
We didn’t only have fun on the day of the program while performing. The entire process of planning out the program, giving students their parts to perform, practising and rehearsing was great fun too. I would totally do something like this again if I got the chance to. We didn’t only have students singing carols, but we also had students talk about Christmas and why they like this jolly time of the year. For the finale, we played a slideshow of Buddhi’s 2019 Christmas celebrations. Overall, we all had a ton of fun putting up the show!”
