The
Buddhi High School curriculum is presently based on
CIE's IGCSE program which is an international curriculum that develops
students’ skills in creative thinking and problem solving, and gives them
excellent preparation for the next stage in their education.
The High School curriculum is intended to progress
students through the IGCSE or O Level courses in preparation for the final
evaluating examination. Apart from
delivering academic knowledge & skills, the high school years will focus on
providing invaluable feedback for students, teachers and parents about the
strengths and abilities of students. Teachers then use this information to
make effective use of resources to maximize the success of students in
taking on the certifying examinations.
Buddhi has built a core curriculum based on IGCSE’s
range of over 70 subject options to suit our students and we introduce
cross-curricular perspectives that allow us to offer a variety of routes for
learners of different interests and abilities. The curriculum develops in
line with changing needs, and is regularly updated and extended.
The Arts and Physical Education are an important
part of our curriculum and we have a special afternoon programme called
Triveni which focuses on these curriculum areas and includes learning in
fine arts & craft, performing arts (theatre, dance and music) and sport.
ICT (information communication technology) is
integrated into the curriculum and powers much of our instruction and
assessment processes.
Field trips play an important part in our
curriculum, as they allow students to experience the world first-hand.
These trips are directly related to what they have been learning at school.
Topical content and other resources for lessons and
activities are again based on CIE resources and the latest sources from
internet and books.
